People with diabetes would have better health outcomes ifdoctors avoided aggressively prescribing meds just to reach a blood pressuretarget; that’s because such “one-size-fits-all” approaches might lead topotentially dangerous over-treatment, according to a study in the journalArchives of Internal Medicine and reported by HealthDay News.
For the study, researchers from the VA Ann Arbor HealthcareSystem and the University of Michigan Medical School examined data from almost1 million diabetes patients treated at the Veterans Affair health facilitiesacross the United States.
