The AIDS Action Committee of Massachusetts has opened a new center equipped with an onsite HIV pharmacy, the Rainbow Times reports. The committee hopes the drop-in center will reduce barriers to care by offering clients a place to shop for food, use computers for housing and job searches, attend legal clinics, speak with peer advocates and access the MOMS Pharmacy, a specialty HIV/AIDS pharmacy. MOMS offers pre- filled medicine trays and a month’s worth of medication packaged in daily, client-specific packets with dates and times medication should be taken. Research shows that clients who used these services had high success rates in suppressing viral loads.
