In advance of the XIXInternational AIDS Conference (AIDS 2012), AIDS in America, a coalition of nationaland regional advocacy groups, is calling for better federal policies and leadershipto end AIDS domestically, according to an AIDS in America statement. Thecoalition wants a change in leadership, more funding and more scientifically basedpolicies. In particular, advocates emphasize the need to support the AffordableCare Act; to maintain Medicare, Medicaid and the Ryan White CARE Act; and topress Congress for more funding for the National HIV/AIDS Strategy.
