If you have diabetes, need insulin injections and hate needles you may have a new option: Exubera, an inhalable form of insulin administered using a small, portable inhaler (not pictured above). Recently, Pfizer announced that five years of trials with over 2000 patients found that Exubera may be as effective as injected insulin. However, it’s still being monitored for lung safety.
