Testing Together, a new program funded by the MAC AIDS Fund,is encouraging gay couples to get tested for HIV together, The Huffington Postreports. The program, which runs in Chicago and Atlanta, encourages couples toget tested and then hear their results together, as well as speak with acounselor about their relationship and sexual health. The program is hoping todispel myths and secrecy and to help couples establish trusting relationships inwhich testing is part of their routine. Counselors are also trained to workwith couples who are serodiscordant, where one person is HIV positive and theother is HIV negative.
