The Los Angeles–based AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) has opened a Men’s Wellness Center in Brooklyn, according to an AHF statement. Located in the headquarters of Gay Men of African Descent (GMAD), the center provides free screening for HIV and other sexually transmitted infections, including chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphilis. AHF and GMAD are planning to eventually offer screenings for meningitis. AHF also has Wellness Centers in California, Florida, Ohio, Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas, as well as Mexico City.
