I tried to conceive a child for ten years. I was diagnosed with uterine fibroids and had myomectomy surgery to have them removed. I waited nine months after the surgery and then attempted in vitro fertilization (IVF). The process failed twice but after the third attempt I had a child via a live birth. My child is now 17 years old.
