Roman Catholic Archbishop Luis Antonio Tagle of Manila hasurged increased HIV/AIDS awareness in the Philippines, the Union of CatholicAsian News reports. To that end, the Archdiocese of Manila has scheduled twoworkshops on the virus. One workshop will be for priests, and another will befor seminarians and laypeople. Nine new HIV cases are reported daily in thecountry, and more than half are in the Manila area.
