Mathew Knowles
The music executive and father of Beyoncé and Solange Knowles, announced in 2019 that he had been diagnosed with breast cancer. He underwent surgery and has since been cancer-free. Knowles has been a vocal advocate for breast cancer awareness, particularly in the African-American community, where men are often not aware that they can also be affected by the disease. He has emphasized the importance of early detection, regular checkups and genetic testing and has encouraged men to prioritize their health and get educated about breast cancer.
