Sheryl Lee Ralph

The actress and singer, who won a Tony for her role in the original Boradway production of Dreamgirls and currently stars as beloved teacher Barbara Howard on Abbott Elementary, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2001. She underwent a double mastectomy and has been cancer-free since. She is an advocate for breast cancer awareness and early detection.
