Damon Dash
Best known for helping Jay-Z launch Roc-A-Fella Records, the music mogul, who lives with type 1 diabetes, rolled out the online lifestyle venture Dash Diabetes Network in the summer. Doctors diagnosed him with the illness at age 15. Since then, Dash has sought to show people that the blood sugar disorder isn’t a weakness and shouldn’t be a cause for depression because it can be managed through diet, exercise and medicine.
