Chaunte Lowe

The American high jumper and Olympic medalist was diagnosed with triple-negative invasive ductal carcinoma, a very aggressive form of breast cancer, in 2019 at age 35. She underwent a double mastectomy and chemotherapy and has been cancer-free since. Despite the physical and emotional toll of the disease, Chaunte has been vocal about her experience with breast cancer, sharing her story to raise awareness and encourage women to prioritize their health. She has used her platform to promote breast cancer awareness and early detection and has become an advocate for self-examinations and regular mammograms. Chaunte remains an athlete, inspiring others with her resilience and strength.
